Tom- I'm not talking about shooting fish, their awesome at it. But swimming to the fish is another story....
It was a joke. hahaha.
But really, the Bellarine Peninsula drowning overseas spearo's? Do they go out at Queenscliff and get swept out to sea and drown? I would have thought compared to other places it would be relatively safe. Would the overseas spearo's be more inclined to ask about tide, etc because they aren't from the area or just jump in?

I am not sure mate. The current gets pretty strong over Queenscliff way doesn't it from what I have heard? You need to plan a drift dive over there if I have heard correctly?

Big chance that our own Drew Fenney could take out the Venezuela Comp this year so JJS stick to your guns as Australians already took the Interpacific championship Title in Hawaii, April 08.

Ligure your not helping your forum outcast position... hehehe. I think distance and sponsorship have hampered Australia putting teams in previous comps. I think if we get behind our lads they'll bring home the glory. Support our boys as they have already shown that they can be the best in the world!!!

Best of Luck to Drew and the rest of the Australian Crew!!!

I'd wait till thursday/friday and then check again. We do live in a pretty volatile weather area.

JJS ... that was a sarcastic comment/joke addressed to IH and referring to previous comments exchanged between IH and myself.
:)

Squire ... may the best team bring home the glory; I have no particular preference ... as long as the French don't win and Italy catches up with Spain :)

Shamousrouge ... I am very keen for a dive this w/end, especially saturday, but must agree with Mr. Jono and will touch base with the forum on thursday to check weather conds.
