Well done on the catch but remember to know what your shooting before you shoot the fish and only take what you need.

as I don't know any spearos or lino's(rod and reel fishermen) that have eaten them which probably means something.
Mind you they do have the same fish in Western Australia and if you do a google search (moonlighter fish eating) on the fish wrecked forum some people rate them.
At the end of the day "most" fish if eaten the same day taste pretty good including the long finned pike and the red mullet (goatfish) which you have.
