'Heard there'd been a Great White hanging around Bell Reef/the Queenscliff area a few weeks back (when the squid were seriously on).

Anyone know if it's still lurking about?

Am wanting to go for a dive on the Bellarine or the Surfcoast back beaches this weekend and will likely be bringing my brother-in-law with me for a taste of spearfishing.

If anyone's seen/heard of shark sighting's or other things to watch out for in that region, please post here.

Cheers!

I think plenty of guys have been hitting the squid there since the intial report without word of another sighting. The sharks probably got a belly thats too full of squid to think about munching something bigger! we hope..

My Great white arse is still hanging around Queenscliff, reducing the squid population. I'm more dangerous.

Doesn't look like it's hanging around Qcliff at all. Just passing through on the way to water that's a bit thicker with noob divers to munch on. Another reason to dive the ocean, not the bay.

Noob divers are quite yummy this time of year as they are yet to fully lose their winter fat.

nah i think that (most of) us noobs are less likley to get eaten by a skark as we are not the ones that go diveing 300m off shore wearing seal like wetsuits. :P

Except sharks often come into shallow waters to feed...
