It's that time of the month again (not that one) and as it falls on the long weekend i was looking for some opinions on what we should do for the next meeting and what day or days to do it on. Let me know .

What weekend you thinking of having it ??

Not sure if it is exactly 4 weeks that your doing it, but if it is i wont be able to make it again as i work every 2nd... Not sure if i'm in the same boat as anyone else but it may be good to have it every 5 weeks so the people that do work every 2nd weekend can at least come every 2nd month or so ...

Just a thought ...

just not on a night when i work late. (monday, or friday) i plan on signing up at next meeting.

You boys need to set it regular or it's gonna be a pain in the arse every month! From our end it sounds like w.o.t knows his shit and is keen to keep it going so I say set something in stone mate. Someone has to make the decisions, voting just leads to someone being pissed off!

Stoked to see you boys making it happen over there, reckon I might have to start looking at a East vs West social comp soon! Held on the peninsula of course!

By peninsula, you mean the Bellarine peninsula of course & yeah I agree keep the same dates. Long Weekend will be good one, though I can only do saturdays, this will go for all meets n dives for me so not worried if I can't make it though, no stress.

w.o.t mate, why don't we set it to the first sunday of every month? That way it alternates between 4 and 5 weeks, which will work better for some.

First Sunday of every month will clash with comps for guys like Trent and Craney that like to attend both.

Why don't you set it mid month and if you want to discuss spearfishing issues and whats going on i can pass the meeting minutes onto w.o.t.

Sound's like "Southern Freedivers - Western Division" beginning to form, keep up the good work fella's, good idea Rhyno about setting it in stone, maybe the last Sunday of the month that way idea's and issue's can be taken to HQ on the first Sunday of the month which will allow the bloke's out west to attend some of the comp's that are already taking place.

I know i can't please everybody regarding dates as when to have meetings, the 1st weeekend of each month is out because of comps and the last is out because its probably to lose to the comp and for some of the people who do both meetings. Melbourne cup week is hard because people are on holidays. So the Geelong group wil get together on the 2nd last Sunday of each month that means the next meeting will be on the 22nd of November and the next meeting after that will be on the 20th of December . On the December meeting i am planning on having a bit of christmas bbq with food and drinks (alchol for those old enough) so i would appreciate those that would like to do that bring along a donation for the event as i can't be expected to flip the bill for it by myself. Also there will be membership forms available at each meeting. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on these issues.
