See below for information Geoff put together regarding the comp planned for this coming weekend.
It's with great excitement that I would like to announce our 1st comp of the 17/18 season, a pairs shore dive comp. This time last year we had the highest numbers for the year attend this comp and what better timing right now, considering the amount of squid, salmon and snapper reports coming through.
This comp is aimed at those that are wanting to see how our comps run and possibly learn from an experienced diver. (Although not compulsory we encourage our existing members to pair up with a newbie) Anybody without a dive buddy will be paired up on the day. All welcome regardless of experience.
***IMPORTANT COMPETITION INFORMATION***
We will confirm an exact day and location on Thursday evening. (Possibly Phillip island or Mornington Peninsula) The day will be held on Saturday 23d or Sunday 24th depending on conditions. We will meet at 8am for a 9am start. Entries will not be excepted after 8.30am.
All competitors must have at least AUF membership, a valid fishing license and a Southern Freedivers competition entry form filled out and Entry fee ($15 per senior competitor and junior competitors there is a $5 fee)

This comp is non aggregate.
Two A grade divers cannot be paired together.
Each pair must have between them - x1 Float with Alpha Blue and White Flag / Whistle / Mirror are COMPULSORY (1 float between each pair)
Float may be anchored each team may not be more than thirty (30) metres away from the float.
Each diver shall provide a safety watch over his/her partner.At no time will the distance between divers exceed 30m. The partner on the surface shall endeavour to maintain a visual on his/her partner at all times whilst below the surface.
