My mate showed me the latest edition of the VR Fish magazine today, and who's on the front cover? Mr. Torelli with a great cray and Kingy! Not sure if this is old news, maybe the club members heard about this at the meeting, but it was a surprise for me. No new information for the average spearo, but GREAT info for the general fishing community on how spearfishermen operate and what's involved.

I think it's fantastic that a select group of dedicated spearos are bringing our sport to the attention of the public with articles like this and programs like Spearing the Menu, Adventure Bound etc. Well done to all involved.

Yeah the article was put together by Matt Koopman (south935) on here..

Just another one of the great things that he has done for the sport and the club!

Does Charlie still dive these days? I've not bumped into him for years.

Yer Charlie still does a bit of diving, but is more into fishing. You might see his mug on YouFish or River to Reef.
Weasle, 99% of the readership of that mag are non-spearos, it was all about educating them, particularly abuot dive flags.
