You didn't answer my question.. What have you done to improve the safety of spearfishermen?

Seems you're happy to use their forum regardless.

I don't think Ligure was asking for "permission", sounded more so like he was asking if the club would get behind him if he went for it.

Nevermind the arguments on the post however upsetting they may be

Perhaps we could start action by including the topic in the agenda for the next SFD meeting and see who is keen on getting involved and take it from there.

I was waiting for your input Nas. It means so much to me and the future of our sport. How could we ever live without your comments.

For fuck sake this has been a big misunderstanding.

Do you mean other than spending time with kids new to the sport and teaching them to spear safely on days I could be out smashing fish or are you referring to things like being the only spearo to turn up at VR fish meetings or going to the Altona ramp to talk to jet skiers that have got to close.
Lethal I shouldn't have bothered answering your post but I reckon I've probably done more than most guys in your club.

:?: Shouldnt we all band together on this one? Personally, I not only use all the brains that I have, but all that I can borrow. :?:

I am only new to the club and as Rhino mentioned, it is definantly one of the best things I have done for ages and I totally do not regret it.

I think this topic needs a 'BUMP'!!!

Not looking at joining the gang-bang, but Are you farking serious?
Which VRFish meetingS did you go to, and do you really think you are the only one that goes?
I think you might be talking about 1 Fisheries Victoria public consultation meeting held in Melbourne. If thats the case, yer, its a shame there weren't others there.

I normally bite my tounge on this forum and try and be as diplomatic as possible but you are a joke Greg. Passing on the message to kids is not something that you claim credit for, it is something that all spearos do naturally. You went to one consultation meeting and talked to people at the boat ramp.

Our club members contributed $500 of CLUB funds to spreading the safety message to hundreds of thousands recreational fishermen in the form of the rec guide ad. Members also contributed to the spearSafe initiative, getting a grant for the other $5000 needed for the rec guide ad, getting a grant for the soon to be installed diver safety signs at local boat ramps.

Where did I say the club didn't do anything Lethal. Now it seems that after clarification you seem to be choosing to misinterpret what was written .
Get of your fucking high horse and stop being such a dickwad.

I'm not choosing to mis interpret anything. I'm just saying that for someone with such strong words as fuck the president and the club, you haven't done fuck all for the sport.
