Looking at all the great frogs in recent posts...

Any one run into an older chap with a very strange fetish?: he wears rubber dish-washing gloves in the water and knocks off all the flat heads in my area!!!

I have heard tales of this bizarre man prior to running into him at Mordialloc. He had stabbed two nice frogs, leaving none for me!

Why do you reckon he does that? Maybe he just haaates to get wrinkly fingers...

Rubber gloves over a woolen glove is warmer than any neoprene glove. Until you get a hole in them that is. The rubber gardening gloves that look like dishwashing gloves last for a couple of summers.

Maybe he should not have spent all his money on a gun.
Do you have to, like, gaffer tape them to your wrists or something?

Yeah, they were pink or yellow or something.

wouldnt be worried about warmth atm. last two dives ive had in the bay, i got quite warm and my hands somewhat hot. probs coz i only own the 5mm and my hands always seem to warm. can imagine it would be a problem for people with poor circulation tho.

lol maybe you should approach him and give him some old gloves? people are always givving away old gloves at the meetings

Ha ha ha, yeah I think they should set up like a charity bin for used gloves, like a spearfishing Salvos:

"Think of those who are less fortunate than you and believe they are swimming in giant sink ... please donate
your used gloves and give them their dignity."

yeah i have seen some divers on video using rubber palm woven thread gloves for gardening or construction or package handling non slip gloves. I prefer diver gloves. i understand why they use construction or package handling gloves its cheaper when gloves often get damaged by sharp reef.
