Where is the bommie? Do you go down the steps and go left or right? Do you just follow the rocks around and swim out?

Hey greg, checked my fish book and i think its a "rock cale"... the book only gave it one star out of 4 for eadibility, but i enjoyed it... i filleted it, removed the skin as it was pretty tough and then lightly dusted with flour, salt, and pepper and shallow fried it...nice.... that grass whiting or what ever it is was terrible... wont shoot one of those again...

Nice conditions on the back beaches last week. Picked up a nice Trev for the smoker. Turned out awesome.

hey bud, i think the fish that wasn't much chop is a southern sea carp aka "mud guts" not great. im sure the grass whiting would be 1/2 better than the dusky mowong, but is 1/4th not better than the mullet. i totally agree with trying to eat what you catch but, there are better fish in the ocean. you got a bag. good for you. but posative ID is key to great spearfishing.
oZ.
