Was reluctant to post a pic of my fish after seeing octopussy's catch so luckily my phone won't let me. 1st dive since late april. Headed out to mordi reef mainly to test out my new esclapez 5mm wetsuit. Not much around apart from a school of salmon. Only took 2 home. 1 @ 44cm 1kg and 1 @ 39cm 600g.
Good to get back in water. Now just need to work on my pathetic breath hold

Spent a few hrs looking for squid in the south end of the bay today. No squid, but a tasty alternative. Still cold as f%#k.

Gave myself an Rdo today. Headed out of Queenscliff in the boat. Dived cottage to StLeonards. Water 13.8-14deg. Vis 3-8m. Heaps of lino's out. Made it challenging at times. Thought it be a bit quieter on a weekday. Thank the Aus gov for the crowds. Found the squid at 12ish after hitting the water at 7.30am. Squid not yet in plague proportions. Great day, thank goodness the sun is shining at last!
