I am new to Melbourne from NZ and am interested in getting started here. My gear is still in NZ, just waiting for it to be bought over. In the meantime, are there any groups training or anywhere recommended to hire gear?

Hey Fran - I came across from the Motherland a few years ago and did pretty much the same thing your doingnow I suppose.

Not sure you can hire gear, I'm certainly not aware of anywhere to hire gear - I waited for mine to turn up on the boat.

The fishing here is quite different to NZ - fewer big fish but many more target species.

Where in NZ are you from?
