I have made alot of updates on the website in the last 24 hours and the calendar is still to come.
I also renewed my membership through the AUF website and it is VERY easy. I had to complete a 'New Registration' even though I am an existing one because I have never joined online before.
PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE EARYBIRD SPECIAL BEFORE JULY 31ST!!To navigate away from the forum to the main webpage click on the blue banner (with the tuna) at the top of any page in the forum and it will take you there.
To join the club select the 'Membership' tab and all the information is there.
The following is the information contained in the 'Membership' page; To become a member of the Southern Freedivers, you must be a member of the Australian Underwater Federation (AUF), this is due to the nature of our sport needing insurance and a voice politically.
You can join the club through the AUF website, if you are an existing member and have not joined through their website before you must select 'New Registration' then;
- 'State Commission' - select from drop down menu - 'Spearfishing VIC'
- 'Club' - select from drop down menu - 'Southern Freedivers Inc'
The rest is pretty straight forward.

IF YOU JOIN THROUGH THE AUF WEBSITE YOU MUST STILL COMPLETE THE SOUTHERN FREEDIVERS 'INDEMNITY' FORM AND FORWARD IT TO THE CLUB EITHER BY POST, OR AT A MEETING.Or alternatively you can download the attached forms and bring them to a club meeting, which are held at the Victorian Game Fishing Club rooms, 186 Station Street Edithvale, first TUESDAY of every month, but we cannot grant the 'Earlybird Special' as it is an online offer.
