GFAV is coordinating a rally against the super trawler for this Saturday 1 September from 9:00am.

There are marshaling points for peeps coming from East and West:

"Boats will assemble at both Venues and people will be in place with Maps
and Details of the routes to be taken.

In both Directions this will be a slow Tow (about 50kms an hour) within the
laws of the road. In one lane making a long procession of boats.

Banners etc are fine but must be legal.

Stay within the law no riding in boats etc no protruding objects

If you don't have a boat but want to join the parade that’s fine just leave your
headlights on and join in "

For more info see flyer: http://www.gfav.com.au/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=360&Itemid=91

Get out there and stick it to em!

Gee, I'd be pissed if I lived in Melbourne and wanted to drive anywhere!

Finally someone has posted this info!!
I will be there, many of my lino crew are hyped up and going as well, seems that the linos are keen to possibly secure the future of bluewater fishing.
Very little effort for such a large issue.

A story that was on last night on lateline revealing a conflict of interest for the people who approved this. One guy on the board actually owns a portion of this boat and stands to financially profit!
