Recon they should give us a few extra weeks! They busted just about every AB diver in VIC acouple of months ago for doing the wrong things(eg. under size, bullshitting paper work,and some other pretty serious offences!) think they should reward us!

I'm glad we still have what we have..the 60 days. I guess there is not much point in trying to get more days??

Hi,
The dates look good. Most people don't work on those days, so we can hopefully get a dive in guilt free. Even better is that if you can't find anything quality to spear then you can take a consolation prize back to the wife. No doubt about it, Abs are the easiest quarry in our waters. I hope the powers that be keep up the good work and regulate the fishery so I can give my son the knowlege, experience and enjoyment of diving and sometimes taking home a feed. I have been in and on the ocean for close to 30years and have only once been asked to show a licence or catch. Wouldn't hurt to have a few more fisheries personal about as long as they go about thier job in a pleasant manner. Might be more quality game about if that were the case. And lets be honest, nothing to be alarmed at if you are doing the right thing. Cheers! Oh, I see I need one of these 8)

Sorry, I should have made it clear that I'm only interested in feedback on the choice of those dates for open days, not if 60 days is enough or too much, bag limits or suggested reading...

BTW, my response will also contain argument as to why they should increase the number of open days, bag limits and take green lips from PPB.

BTW,BTW, like you Blacky, most of my dealings with fisheries officers have been good, and the only times they weren't was when I'd done something wrong.

[quote="Blacky"]Hi,

30 years and only once they have asked for a licence or to see your catch :shock: should give those fisheries officers a pat on the back for a job well done!

Sorry for getting of the topic South, just cant see why WE have to tow the line but the pro's right there own rules!

Someone is going to get a slapping, they gave us 61 days. Either that or I miscounted 3 times.
