just a few quick ideas to share as I unfortunately can't attend any of the meetings

purchasing fishing licence online and opportunity to obtain a receipt as proof of purchase to dowload so that it can be stored on a mobile phone (paperless and almost always with you) or printed directly from the site

no matter how vood the fish ID drawings are in the guide, That is not how one will see the fish in or out of the water and I believe photos are much better. DPI already have a phenomenal database.
Also put more fish id photos in the guide for the most common fish

signposting all ramps with dive flag and 5 knots limit within 100m of it

incorporate link or DVD of Spearsafe initiative in fish rec guide

Not sure if they already have it, but an online and/or SMS reminder that your fishing licence is about to expire. Some way of providing a waterproof laminate cover for licences printed off from online. My 3 year licence is waterproofed with sticky tape.

OK Brett, I'll ask everybody to leave you alone.

Danny, there is not cray tax.

You can by fishing licences online here:
https://checkout.payments.com.au/dpi_fishing/

Plastic fishing licence and reminder notices etc would be nice.

Signposting is being done at the moment - thanks Alison @ VRFish.

Spearsafe link is on FV website.

This needs to be taken up with Marine Safety Victoria. Volunteers?

Cray snares? WTF? This was brought up at the Kingfish Cup. If anyone is serious about thins, I can raise it, but I think it should be discussed more thoroughly. But not here, do you want to start a thread about it?

Hey fellas, I realy don't like the idea of
Crayfish fees being added to the fishing
Licence.
My thought the more poeple are aware
the higher chance of exploitation.
Not in it to offenned

No snares, but at least how about the use of anchors/handspear for holding a bait. Doesn't harm the cray at all..

Haha yeah that would be nice, but lets aim high say 8 per person so that way we might get 4
